If your driveway or parking lot has cracks in the surface then you’re going to need to fix them as soon as possible. As well as flat out looking bad, it can also reduce the lifespan of your driveway and lead to further problems down the line, forcing you to to resurface instead of simply carrying out minor repairs.
The good news is that asphalt seal and repair jobs don’t have to cost the earth, and in fact we pride ourselves on the fact that we keep costs as low as possible. Either way, it’s cheaper to repair it now than to wait for it to get worse. Prevention is much, much better than the cure.
One of the biggest problems with having cracks in your asphalt is that it leaves them vulnerable to water damage, which can filter down into the foundations of your driveway and start to erode it all. If the water freezes, or if other unwanted materials like oil, dirt and dust find their way down there, then you end up with a driveway or a parking lot that’s no longer safe to actually drive on.
